How do I Know My Bra Size?

Women's bras often use cup sizes to describe the size of the breasts. These sizes are usually denoted by a letter, such as A, B, C, D, etc., which represents the depth of the cups. They are usually used in conjunction with an underbust size (e.g. 32, 34, 36, etc.), such as 34B, 36C, etc., to accurately describe the overall size of the bra.

Steps:

  1. Measure upper bust: lean forward 30-45° and circle your brother with a soft ruler at the highest point of your chest.
  2. Measure the lower chest. With your back upright, measure the lower chest. Use a soft tape measure horizontally around the lower chest.
  3. Subtract the lower bust measurement from the upper bust measurement. Example:41"-38"= 3"
  4. Find the final number below to get your cup size. Example:3" = C cup.
  5. Your bra size is your bra plus cup size. Example:38C

Size conversion to cup size:

  • 1" - A
  • 2" - B
  • 3" - C
  • 4" - D
  • 5" - DD
  • 6" - DDD
  • 7" - F
  • 8" - G
  • 9" - H
  • 10" - I
  • 11" - J

So the next time you come across a DDD, you'll understand what it stands for when it comes to underwear sizes. DDD is also usually considered an F cup.

Is a Wired or Wireless Bra Better?

Our plus size women's bras are offered in a back vent style with no steel ring underwire.

Wireless bras benefits are more comfortable, gentler on the skin, and perfect for everyday wear and extended wear. They provide a more natural breast shape, which some women prefer. However, wireless bras may not provide as much support and shaping as wired bras, especially for women with sagging breasts.

Wired bras provide more reasonable support, which is especially beneficial for women with larger busts. They help maintain the shape of the breasts and give a more defined silhouette. However, wires may tighten the skin or irritate when worn for long periods. They may not be suitable for activities that require a lot of movement, such as sports.

How Many Rows of Bra Clasps?

The clasp at the back of the woman's bra usually has multiple rows (e.g. 2 or 5 rows), allowing you to adjust the fit as needed. And more rows provide a greater range of adjustment. The outermost rows offer the loosest options, while the innermost rows offer the tightest options. We offer both front closure bras and back clasp bras.

Back clasp bras are available in 3 rows of 4 clasps, 3 rows of 3 clasps, and 3 rows of 2 clasps, depending on the style of underwire.
